Extra casting requires you to bring at least 3 or 4 outfits that fit the requirements of color, style, location, and time period. The director of extra casting or your agent will give a description to you for the appropriate wardrobe. Having the appropriate wardrobe can increase the chances of an extra casting being moved to a good location in a scene.
For extra casting, do not bring cameras to the set. If you have a camera with you and really want a photo, only use it in extras holding and be sure to ask permission first. Also for extra casting, do not attempt to take photos of the other actors, set, etc. Please don't bother the crew. They have work to do and shouldn't be distracted.
Extra casting should always pay attention to what is going on when they are on the set. Extra casting does not ever talk at all, not even to whisper, when a camera is rolling. When someone yells "pictures up," it means they are going to be shooting in the next minute so everyone, including casting extras, should be absolutely silent. Always remember when a production is shooting at a location that there are usually businesses or regular pedestrians around. They need to conduct business as usual, so please be courteous to them and keep out of their way.
